Father Time, Sobering Reality, Skeptical Analysis, Reorganizing, Tests & Challenges, Maturity v 2.0, Revisiting our boundaries, Review of what matters, Effort that brings us to a deeper sense of self actualization...

These are just some of the keywords and themes that surface for me as I ponder Saturn and explore this retrograde that we are all experiencing in the sign of Pisces. Let's unpack...

Saturn first entered Pisces wayyyy back in March of 2023 and in May of this year (2025) it moved on into Aries. So for the topics in your birth chart that are govered by the sign of Pisces, you have likely been engaged in a Saturnian process that began in 2023 (see key words above) - a process likely marked by challenge, introspection, and restructuring. And most likely this Piscean area of life breathed a small sigh of relief back in May - as if a pressure valve was turned off and some steam was released. Or maybe you came to some deep and profound insights that took some work and labor, but ultimately, that effort paid off in the end. But lets not drop this effort too fast, as recently Saturn turned retrograde and moved BACK into Pisces earlier this month (Sept 2025), where it will moonlight until February of 2026 when it officially leaves the sign of Pisces for the next 30 years give or take. With any retrograde motion, we are symbolically and archetypally ushered into a period of reviewing, retracing, reflecting and a sort of re-doing; a stretch where we can revisit some topics with newfound wisdom and reimagine and reevaluate their meaning in our lives. Retrograde periods offer us an opportunity. And Saturn retrogrades offer us an opportunity to get real, again.

So, I invite you to locate where Pisces is in your birth chart and reflect on the house topics it represents. And lets explore any processes that began for you in early 2023 - processes that have likely been challenging (possibly rewarding), effortful and analytical - but with perhaps a new perspective that invites the question: "How can I bring this process to completion or further its evolution?" If you are a Pisces rising, Saturn has just reentered your first house (where Mercury finds its joy) - the house of self, body, and vitality. This could bring with it an introspective review of topics surrounding personal identity, appearance, self actualization and self realization. Maybe there are things about yourself that you are questioning and need a bit more review and analysis before you can solidly move forward as the new self that is emerging. If you are an Aries rising, Saturn has just reentered your twelfth house (where Saturn finds its joy) - the house of self undoing, isolation, and that which is hidden. Here we are invited into a psychological, inner realm of review of material that may bring forth anxiety, worry and doubt. Likely, reflecting back to an internal process that started in 2023 could offer you insights into the spaces where attention, and deeper wisdom since acquired, may be needed again. For Taurus rising, Saturn has reentered your eleventh house of friends, social supports, hopes and dreams (where Jupiter finds it joy). Perhaps a reimagination of what a social life could look like for you is possible now...or a more honest analysis on who in your world lifts you up vs brings you down and setting some interpersonal boundaries could be beneficial. What are your dreams and are there practical and thoughtful steps that you can continue to work on to accomplish them, especially so in group endeavors? For Gemini rising, Saturn has reentered your tenth house - the house of vocation, social standing, civic duty and status. Saturn invites us to review and reevaluate what matters to us. What needs reorganizing and where have I achieved success? What are my true joys and how do I reconcile them with my responsibilities? How can I be more honest with myself about my relationship with social standing and sense of self worth? (Saturn never promised this would be easy). For Cancer rising, Saturn has reentered your ninth house (where the Sun rejoices) - the house of higher learning, spirituality, law, search for meaning and long voyages. Maybe a serious reconsideration of taking a new class or learning a new language. Here we could imagine a potential separation from or restructuring ideas around spiritual practices or pursuits...or adding more discipline to such. What is the meaning of life? (Just a small question that Saturn offers up for you). For my Leo rising folks, Saturn will be returning to your eighth house of shared resources, inheritance, esteem of other's, debts and obligations. Here we may find a revisiting of these themes with some newfound wisdom, limits and boundaries. Maybe a review of contracts; a sobering self awareness of personal doubts; a reanalysis of the ways in which we allow the esteem of others weigh us down. A relearning of how to live with any fears that committments offer to us. For Virgo rising, Saturn reenters your seventh house of relationships, and heralds in a period where you may once again be thinking about, evaluating and restructuring personal/intimate/professional relationships. With Saturn in Pisces here, what do you imagine for yourself in the realm of relationships and what (or who) are you willing to commit/re-commit to? Is there anything/anyone that a letting go process has been initiated around, but not yet fully completed? For Libra rising, Saturn has just reentered your sixth house (where Mars rejoices) - the house of daily work, physical health, and subordination. And just when you thought the grind of daily life was easing up, you find yourself reevaluating how busy things feel and asking yourself what sustains you and what drains you...and maybe this means learning to say more NO than YES. Also, this could bring around again a focus on health matters. For Scorpio rising, Saturn will dip back into your fifth house (where Venus rejoices) - the house of creativity, recreation, pleasure and children. Here Saturn may showcase a sense of realism or maturity around these themes. Maybe a new creative endeavor has begun that needs a bit of a realignment, a reimagining or a more structured course to proceed forward. Setting small, well-thought-out, achievable objectives to reach long term goals could be a good approach. For Sagittarius rising, Saturn will return to your fourth house of home, family, ancestral roots and private inner life. Could there be ways in which instituting better boundaries around family could be helpful? You may come to new understandings of your family system through contemplation and introspection. Also, this could signify completing a home project/renovation or readdressing any "work" related tasks around the home. For Capricorn rising, Saturn will be reentering your third house (where the moon rejoices) - the place of daily routine, ritual, siblings and local community. What is your relationship to your local community and how do you want to participate more meaningfully? Where in your day to day life is more structure and committment going to best serve you? And finally, for Aquarius rising, Saturn will be revisiting themes of the second house - livelihood, personal resourcing, values, and things that nourish us. Revisiting what matters to you, deeply and truly. Taking a serious look again at what you need and what you value, and committing to a path that honors that. Also, this could be a return to some limitations around these themes that you have been experiencing, and maybe a reinvestment in yourself is whats needed.

A final note: this transit is extra juiced as its ruling planet, Jupiter, is exalted in cancer. So Saturn is well resourced to offer to us the answers and insights we seek. That's good news for an otherwise challenging mood.

I hope you enjoyed this! If you'd like to go deeper on this transit or any of the significant transits coming up in your year ahead, consider booking a reading with yours truly! Thank you for reading and for exploring the stars with me. Peace to you, my friends.
